Excellent breakfast buffet made mornings special.

I was very disappointed to find out the restaurant was closed . We arrived after a long day of hiking, only to discover we'd have to rely on takeout delivered at a high cost. It would have been really helpful to know about the restaurant closure before we booked, especially given the distance to town for dining options.

Ideal immaculately clean hotel with admirable service and mountain views. Special experience and very attentive and hospitable stuff. A balcony and a rug available in the deluxe queen room. Peaceful and nice location, a short walk from Zermatt-Furi Gondola. Good restaurant for dinner. Great way to end our holiday.

The stunning views of the Matterhorn from my balcony and the divine meals at the hotel restaurant made my solo trip lovely.

Very good sized and well-appointed room with very comfy bed and smoke detectors for safety measures. Had nice it's own balcony and rug.

The décor was inviting, with cozy fireplaces creating a warm atmosphere throughout the hotel. The accessibility was great for senior guests.

More comfortable seating in common areas, please.

The staff impressed me with their friendliness and attention to detail. They even helped me arrange a surprise for my partner's birthday. Our room was cozy, clean, and equipped with a great coffee machine. The views of the Matterhorn from our room were amazing. I loved the wellness area, especially the sauna and outdoor jacuzzi after a long day of exploring. Breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. I did find the location a bit distant from the main attractions, quite a walk back to the hotel. The room service wasn't ideal. The order got mixed up, and we had to wait longer than expected without compensation. The wellness area got crowded at times, detracting from the relaxing vibe. The restaurant prices felt high, especially for room service. Even with those issues, I would still recommend Matthiol for its fine views and wonderful staff.

The room is bright and impressive with great decor. The atmosphere of the hotel is quiet. Superb service, the breakfast is reasonably good. What is more, free Wi-Fi worked throughout the property.

The hotel is brand new; the decor is top class with fabulous finishes and design. It's ultra modern yet still has the cosiness of a traditional Swiss Chalet. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and very, very comfortable, with fine details like crystal bedside lamps and faux-fur blankets. The owners and staff have an eye for detail and everything is presented and managed to perfection.

Gorgeous setting, fantastic spa, amazing food, nice location at the outskirt of Zermatt, at the start of a few major treks, and a room so romantic and sexy it would make ANYBODY fall in love.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic, the staff, the location the attention to detail and all the little extras, such as, free hotel transfers from the station, the complementary fruit, tea and coffees and cakes. Nothing is too much trouble from the manager and his team, if you want something special look no further.
